A Brief Update On The Future Of Nerd Rambles

This ramble, as the title suggests, is a short follow up to a previous post. In that post, I aired some of my concerns about Nerd Rambles.

First off, massive thank yous to the wonderful folk who took the time to give advice and feedback. It truly means the world to me, and I hope I’ll continue to entertain you with this little blog. Again, thank you so much!

After reading said feedback and a fair bit of soul searching, the current plan is to make a few changes around here, but nothing too drastic. A few cosmetic changes are coming soon, a wee bit of tweaking how I title my posts, but outside of that, I’m going to try and put a bit more passion into Nerd Rambles.

Terrence, Kibbin and Thero, you guys are right. I need to focus on what I am passionate about, rather than just writing what I suspect will get noticed.

Is it possible that I will pour my heart and soul out ranting about a current obsession, then it underperforms? Yes, but should that stop me? No, not at all. Nerd Rambles was born from my desire to rant, ramble (hence the name) and rave about my passions. So that is what I will continue to do.

Thank you, once again, for your feedback, votes on Twitter and continued support. I will do my best to not let you down.

And it’s possible it will over-perform, too.

It’s like Rush’s song Chain Lightning: “The spark still flies, Reflected in another pair of eyes. You never know when something you write will inspire someone.

And writing passionately, about what you love, is your best chance of doing that!
