McElroys and Marvel

I am so excited about this team up!

Marvel announced that they are working with the McElroy brothers (Griffin, Travis and Justin), the lads behind My Brother, My Brother and Me and The Adventure Zone to create a miniseries of comics for the War of the Realms Event.

The five-part series is called War of the Realms: Journey into Mystery, the interior artwork is by André Lima Araújo and cover artist is Valerio Schiti.

According to the McElroy’s website; “War of the Realms: Journey Into Mystery takes you to a world where Earth is at war, besieged by an army of Frost Giants, Trolls and Fire Goblins — and the mighty Thor is nowhere to be found.

When it turns out that the key to stopping the war might be Thor’s baby sister, Spider-Man (Miles Morales), Hawkeye (Kate Bishop), Wonder Man, Sebastian Druid, Death Locket, Thori the Hellhound, and Balder the Brave must go on an epic quest to save Earth’s only hope! (And, yes, deal with diaper duty.)”

If War of the Realms: Journey into Mystery is half as good as the Graphic Novel for The Adventure Zone this is going to be amazing. The series will debut on the 10th of April and I for one can’t wait. I’m interested in how this series will play out, don’t let me down, boys!

Normally this would be the part where I talk about what else we know and/or any thoughts or theories about the upcoming work but I have learned that you can’t predict the McElroy’s nor is there any more info available at this time. So… I’m just going to gush some more about them one last time!

I have ranted and raved about the McElroy boys multiple times on Nerd Rambles and this gives me an excuse to continue preaching about the podcasters.

While The Adventure Zone is still my favourite of the 11 podcasts, yes 11, that the McElroy’s make, in the last month I finally got around to listening to My Brother, My Brother and Me and it has become my go-to podcast to listen to while travelling. Makes the two-hour walk to work far more enjoyable.
