Several days later and I am still in shock.
I went to see Avengers: Infinity War with my pals on Thursday night and while I enjoyed it, I’m kinda still not over certain things that happened.
Don’t worry, this is a spoiler free review and if I see anyone post spoilers I will delete them.
The spoiler-free version of the plot of Avengers: Infinity War is that Thanos is gathering the infinity stones so he can wipe out half of all life in the universe and our heroes are doing everything they can to stop him.
One concern I had going into this film was that it was going to be all action and little if any character development. I am glad to say this is not the case. Once again they got the balance right, good job Marvel, keep it up.
We also got heroes teaming up with other heroes in groups we didn’t expect yet work so well together. On top of that everyone got enough screentime, considering how big the cast is that is extremely impressive.
Let’s not forget the other end of the scale, the fight scenes. They were brilliant. They were creative and let everyone get a moment in the spotlight showing off their talents and skills.
I have to take a moment to say that as a Scot it was awesome to see my homeland in a Marvel movie.
No spoilers but what goes down in Edinburgh was even cooler to me as the whole time I kept thinking, I know that place! I’ve been there countless times! They also mentioned my hometown and I freaked out.
Speaking of freaking out, I cried a fair amount during Avengers: Infinity War. I was told going in that it gets emotional and I cry easy.
I will put my hands in the air and admit that I am a softie. That being said, I came prepared with tissues. Good thing I did because by the time the credits had finished I was a mess.
You might be getting a little sick of hearing people sing this movie praises but trust me, they are warranted. I could rant for hours about how they nailed it but that would be impossible to do without dropping spoilers.
Avengers: Infinity War has it all, good laughs, awesome fight scenes and heartbreaking moments. If you haven’t seen it yet, go get your tickets now! You don’t want to miss this.
