Happy New Year to you and yours! I hope you had a great holiday season and spent time creating fond memories with friends and family.
That being said, I hate January. As far as I’m concerned its the worst month of the year. The holidays are over and everyone is trying to keep their resolutions even though we know at the back of our minds that they won’t last.
At least, that’s what my opinion used to be. Don’t get me wrong, I still hate this depressing month but I did manage to keep a few of last years resolutions. I was able to lose weight and continued to post twice a week. My others went out the window real quick.
My other resolutions were to exercise three times a week (unless you count my hour and a half walk to work) and to read at least 30 books. Yeah, nope. This year I’m setting the reading challenge to 20 but I fear history will repeat itself.
In fact, while I had been losing weight, I have fallen into my old habits of overeating and barely sleeping. In the past year, I have been drinking a lot more than I used too which doesn’t help.
So, here is my main resolution for 2018.
That’s it. I am going to try my best this year, as that is all I can do. Simple as. I’m going to try harder at work, try harder to improve my content and try harder to get into shape.
