Birthday and thanks

Tomorrow is my birthday! I’m going to be 20. God, I feel old.

Instead of making this all about me, I want to thank  everyone who has read my rambles over the last months. You guys have given me to motivation to continue writing, I can never thank you enough.

Writing has always been something that has comforted me. You see, I have Autism and it is hard for me to express myself by talking. I keep fumbling over words and that is if I can even muster up the courage to talk to someone.

When I was little, I used to write short stories at the back of class. I would write down what I was thinking and what I felt like. Even now I continue to do that. Granted I’m not writing adventure stories, but rambles. I still keep a diary on my phone to record my experiences and feelings. It helps me to get that stuff off my chest.

It makes my day when I get notified that someone comments or likes one of my rambles. When people share my work, I feel like I’m doing something right. For the first time in a while that I feel like I am doing something worthwhile, and that I am finally successful at something.

Sorry for the sappyness, we will be back to our regular geeky content in the next ramble.

Growing up, Megan was that one kid at the back of class reading manga. Now, not much has changed except she started a blog. Basically, your typical geek (although she prefers the term Otaku)
