Upcoming games

A new year, a new wave of new games! Some original games, others are sequels or reboots. Either way, we have some good games coming up this year. With the nature of games it is highly possible that release dates might have changed by the time this is published, so be aware.


Horizon dawn zero

Horizon dawn zero is one of the original titles coming to us this year. It’s a PS4 excusive by Guerrilla Games, creators of PlayStation’s venerated Killzone franchise. You play as Aloy, a hunter gatherer in a post-apocalyptic earth trying to discover the long forgotten history of those who came before her. At time of writing the release date has yet to be confirmed.


Ratchet and clank

This one is a bit odd. It’s based off the upcoming movie which is based off the original PS2 game. Ratchet and his new robot buddy travel through space to defeat Chairman Drek. The game hits stores on the 4th of December.


Mass Effect: Andromeda

With Mass Effect fans feeling cheated by the ending of Mass Effect 3, the latest instalment of the series has a lot to make up to fans. Set years after the original trilogy with a new story, you play as a human in the far off future. Little is known currently, so we can expect news about it at this years E3. It is due for release in December.


Mirror’s Edge: Catalyst

The sequel to the 2008 game, Mirror’s Edge: Catalyst is focused on Faith’s origin and her attempt to overthrow the totalitarian conglomerate of corporations who rule over the futuristic city called Glass. It will be available on May 26th.


Uncharted 4: A Thief’s End

The final game in the Uncharted series, Nathan Drake’s last adventure will test him in more ways than one. The globetrotter travels to a long lost pirate colony and uncovers a conspiracy surrounding the fabled treasure. The game also features a multiplayer mode. The game is arriving in the UK on April 29th.


Detroit: Become Human

A PS3 tech demo called KARA sparked imaginations when it was released in 2012. The makers of the demo, Quantic Dream decided to explore the idea they created. Detroit: Become Human is about androids developing emotions and how humans respond to this.  There is no confirmed release date.



Growing up, Megan was that one kid at the back of class reading manga. Now, not much has changed except she started a blog. Basically, your typical geek (although she prefers the term Otaku)
